Before Keron: Laying the Foundation

Our founder, Mareta Gevorkyan, has always placed a strong emphasis on initiatives dedicated to the education and development of young people. Her primary objective is to create enduring values that benefit both current and future generations. Before the establishment of the Keron Foundation, numerous programs were implemented over the years as part of these social initiatives, aiming to enhance Armenia’s community infrastructure and cultivate high-quality educational and cultural environments.

2006

Oshakan No. 8 "Anahit" Nursery-Kindergarten, Ashtarak Community

Since 2006, our founder, Mareta Gevorkyan, has been actively supporting Nursery-Kindergarten No. 8, providing assistance in every possible way and contributing to its continuous improvement. The building’s renovation began in 2006, resulting in modern, fully furnished facilities equipped with all necessary furniture and technology.

Further enhancements followed, including a complete renovation of the kindergarten’s main hall in 2017. In 2021, the playground was reconstructed, creating an even more welcoming and enriching environment for the children.

2022

New multifunctional sports ground in Dilijan City Park

A modern multi-purpose sports ground in Dilijan city park was made possible through the support of our founder within the development program of Dilijan City Park.

The complex includes a workout zone with outdoor fitness equipment for strength training, as well as a multi-functional sports field, where it is possible to hold group exercises and games of mini-football, basketball, volleyball, tennis and other sports.

The construction of multifunctional outdoor sports grounds is the first and most important push to popularize mass sports, and healthy lifestyle of the city community. The complex will become an incentive for citizens of all ages to engage in sports and spend their free time with benefit.

Renovation of the Norayr Musheghyan Sports School

One of the social programs implemented by our founder, Mareta Gevorkyan, is the complete renovation of the Norayr Musheghyan Olympic Youth Wrestling School.

For decades, this school has been a training ground for strong athletes, but over time, the building had deteriorated and lost its functionality. Today, after a comprehensive renovation, the school is equipped with modern heating and cooling systems, air conditioning, lighting systems, high-quality mats, training equipment, and renovated restrooms — creating a comfortable environment for hundreds of children and young athletes.

The result of the reconstruction is not only a material improvement but also a new source of inspiration for both students and coaches. The school has once again become a powerful hub where future champions are shaped.

This initiative reflects the founder’s deep belief that every investment in children’s education, health, and development ultimately strengthens our nation.

2023

Kanaker No. 84 School Sports Ground

What was once a neglected area adjacent to Kanaker No. 84 School has been transformed into a modern sports complex, complete with football and basketball courts, as well as an outdoor fitness zone. The reconstruction effort began in November 2022, turning a once-derelict space into a vibrant hub for physical activity.

On April 3, 2023, the sports ground officially opened, providing children and young people with exciting new opportunities to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle.

This newly-built sports ground was dedicated to the memory of Erik Yeghiazaryan, a student from School No. 84, who made the ultimate sacrifice during the 44-day war. The project was made possible through the support of the Revival Armenia NGO, the followers of the Economy of Armenia Telegram channel, and Erik’s family.
