Gate to Armenia: Keron Development Foundation’s Year-End Event at Zvartnots Airport

At midnight on December 19, the arrivals hall of Yerevan’s Zvartnots International Airport was transformed into a space filled with music and festive atmosphere. A special event titled “Gate to Armenia”, jointly organized by the Keron Development Foundation and Zvartnots International Airport, took place.

The choice of venue was symbolic: Zvartnots Airport is the main gate to Armenia for everyone -including participants of the foundation’s flagship initiative, the Talent Pool program -who begin their journey in Armenia here, coming to live, work, and create in the country.

Within this unique setting, the Keron Development Foundation announced the launch of a new project under its already popular initiative – the “Musical Airport” – which will be implemented at Zvartnots Airport. The project will start in January 2026 and will feature weekly concerts in the airport, aiming to create a new cultural environment in public spaces.

The event also served as a recap of the Foundation’s 2025 achievements, presenting completed and ongoing projects and milestones to partners, supporters, and guests.

Special attention was given to the Talent Pool initiative. For the past year, five highly qualified professionals from the USA, Spain, France, and Estonia have been living in Armenia and working with the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, while also teaching in public music schools and conducting masterclasses for young musicians.

It was also announced that five new specialists will join the program in early 2026.

During the official part of the evening, welcoming remarks were delivered by Mareta Gevorkyan, Founder of the Keron Development Foundation, and Vanane Ararktsyan, Executive Director. In her speech, Vanane Ararktsyan emphasized that the Foundation’s greatest achievement is  people -those who believe in its vision, share its values, and consistently stand by these ideas.

The evening concluded with a surprise special concert by the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by honored artist of Armenia, Maestro Eduard Topchyan.

During the concert, the stage also welcomed a new participant of the Talent Pool program, who has relocated to Armenia and is already performing with the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra.

At the end of the event, a special raffle was held, awarding two guests with two FlyOne Armenia airline tickets, allowing them to travel to a destination of their choice within one year.

The event hosted around 320 guests, including Anahit Avanesyan, Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia; Daniel Danielyan, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports; ambassadors; and other distinguished guests.
