Goddess Anahit’s Bronze Statue to Make Historic Debut in Armenia
Yerevan, Armenia — September 6, 2024 — The Keron Development Foundation, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport, Cultural Development Foundation and the History Museum of Armenia, is excited to unveil a landmark cultural event. The magnificent bronze statue of Goddess Anahit, currently held at the British Museum, will soon arrive in Armenia for its first-ever display in Yerevan. This historic exhibition, titled “Mother Goddess: from Anahit to Mary”, will open on September 21, 2024, the Independence Day of RA, at the History Museum of Armenia and will run until March 21, 2025.
The memorandum signed today marks the official launch of a dynamic collaboration between the Keron Development Foundation, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport, Cultural Development Foundation and the History Museum of Armenia. This partnership aims to breathe new life into Armenia’s cultural landscape and offer both local and international visitors an exclusive chance to explore these significant cultural treasures.
Vanane Araktsyan, Executive Director of the Keron Development Foundation, stated: “In just five months since the foundation’s inception, we have successfully executed several projects in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport of Armenia. We are delighted to continue our partnership with the ministry and embark on our first collaboration with the History Museum of Armenia. It is both exciting and symbolic that the exhibition will commence on the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia, September 21. We are confident that over the next six months, we will organise several key initiatives in collaboration with the ministry and the museum as part of this exhibition.
