Elina Avanesyan, a young and promising tennis player, has opened a new chapter in Armenian sports history, becoming the first Armenian athlete to break into the Top 40 of the WTA world rankings.

With the support of the Keron Development Foundation, Elina obtained Armenian citizenship and now is proudly representing Armenia on the international stage and contributing to the country’s sports development.

In September 2024, Elina Avanesyan visited Armenia. During her five-day stay in Yerevan, the tennis player participated in several events, filled with significant and unforgettable moments. As part of her commitment, she will visit Armenia at least once a year to participate in various events, including tennis clinics and meetings with young athletes, to inspire and motivate the next generation.

Objectives

• Represent Armenia in all international tennis tournaments and serve as an ambassador for Armenian tennis on the global stage
• Promote sports in Armenia
