The Keron Development Foundation to Launch the AybPRO Project-Based Learning Program in Cooperation with the Ayb Educational Foundation at Dilijan High School

On July 21, the Keron Development Foundation and the Municipality of Dilijan signed a memorandum of cooperation to officially launch the AybPRO Project-Based Learning program at Dilijan High School.

AybPRO is an innovative educational model based on the principle of “learning by doing,” which simultaneously fosters students’ skill development while deepening their subject knowledge.

Since 2015, the program has been successfully implemented at Yerevan’s Ayb School and, thanks to the initiative of the Keron Foundation, will now become accessible to students at Dilijan High School.

The signing of the memorandum marks an important step in promoting innovative education and the development of the Dilijan community. The program aims to equip students with the most essential 21st-century skills, including critical thinking, teamwork, communication, initiative, and a sense of responsibility.

As part of the program, three project-based clubs will be established, each involving 8 to 15 students. With the support of club mentors, students will develop and implement projects that address real issues within their community.

“This collaboration is of great importance for Dilijan. We are happy that our students will have the opportunity to participate in such a program, which will equip them with vital skills for the future and contribute to the development of our community,” stated Davit Sargsyan, Mayor of Dilijan.

“Bringing AybPRO to Dilijan is one of the most important steps in our efforts to advance Armenia’s educational environment. We strongly believe that innovative education models can shape a new generation of proactive and responsible youth who will contribute to the progress of their communities and the country,” added Vanane Ararktsyan, Executive Director of the Keron Development Foundation.

As a pilot initiative, AybPRO in Dilijan will mark the beginning of a new educational culture that can later be expanded to other community schools across Armenia.
