The start of the revitalization project of the “AOKS Building” in Yerevan
The Keron Development Foundation, Z&A LLC and Maison Marom company are delighted to announce the launch of a new revitalization project for one of Yerevan’s oldest and most unique buildings, located at 3 Abovyan Street, commonly known as the “AOKS Building.” These three organizations have been declared the winners of the lease competition for this historic building by the State Property Management Committee.
This exceptional building, an architectural monument from the early 20th century, remains one of the finest structures in Yerevan. The project aims to preserve the building’s historical and cultural value while incorporating innovative solutions to create spaces for art exhibitions, fashion showrooms, and creative workshops.
The project will include halls showcasing the best examples of both global and Armenian art, luxury clothing brands, as well as a workshop and café. Licensed architects, builders, and other necessary specialists will be engaged in carrying out the project.
“This is one of the most important projects for the foundation, aside from our main programs. Together with our partners, we aim not only to preserve this unique building as a historical and cultural monument but also to create multifunctional spaces that will offer something for everyone, encouraging them to visit this extraordinary building,” said Vanane Ararktsyan, Executive Director of the Keron Development Foundation.
The project’s goal is to merge high art and fashion, creating a unique cultural and commercial complex that will contribute to the development of Yerevan’s cultural life and enhance the city’s international recognition.
In the near future, the organizations will hold a press conference to present the project details.
