Three Public Playgrounds in Yerevan
Playground 1: The Enchanted World of the River (Karmrakhayt)
Playground 2: Tree of Life
Playground 3: Science—From the Inside Out
Project Category: Development and Support Initiatives
Partner: Kentron Administrative District
Timeline: September, November, and December 2025
The Keron Development Foundation has initiated a project to create three next-generation public playgrounds in Yerevan’s Kentron District. This initiative is part of the Foundation’s strategic focus on territorial development and is implemented in close partnership with the Kentron District Administration.
We aim to address the long-standing lack of public playgrounds in the capital that meet international standards and cater to different age groups. With growing demand for modern, safe, and educational play environments, we are responding with thoughtfully designed solutions.
As part of the project, next-generation playgrounds meeting international standards will be established in Yerevan, designed entirely as public spaces without any commercial component. Each playground included in the project will feature a unique theme, turning play into a true adventure for children.
These spaces are more than just places to pass the time—they’re designed to spark creativity and help children explore the limitless power of their imagination.
The playgrounds were developed with the participation of highly experienced local and international experts, united by their love for Armenia and Yerevan. Their goal is to create play areas of exclusively public significance, designed for children of various age groups and fully aligned with international standards.

Playground 1: The Enchanted World of the Hidden River (Karmrakhayt)
- Location: Circular Park, next to the Skate Park
- Size: 2,000 sqm
At the heart of this playground is a sculptural red-spotted trout, surrounded by moving net structures, climbing zones, fish-shaped lights, and wave-like elevations—forming a magical world of movement, exploration, and wonder. Designed for children aged 0–3, 3–7, and 7–12, it ensures a safe, layered, and inspiring environment.

Playground 2: Tree of Life
- Location: Khachkar park, near Republic Square
- Size: 800 sqm
This playground blends Armenian tradition with modern design and imagination. Inspired by the traditional Armenian carpet, its geometric patterns and vibrant colors transform into play mounds, tunnels, and slides. Designed for children aged 0–3 and 3–7, it offers a comfortable, safe, and creative atmosphere.

Playground 3: Science — From the Inside Out
- Location: Missak Manouchian Park
- Size: 675 sqm
Yerevan’s first vertical playground invites children to climb three different height levels, culminating in the city’s tallest slide at 7 meters. Intended for children aged 3–7 and 7–12, it provides a multifunctional and physically engaging experience.
